Hello, I’m Alice. Welcome to my website!

I am a passionate biologist and ecologist, and mom of two.

With a multidisciplinary background that includes a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences and a postgraduate advanced certification in Psychophysiology and Cognitive Neuroscience, I work as a researcher in ecology and ecopsychology. My focus is on the interaction and co-evolution of humans and ecosystems, that I love to analyse under multiple perspectives and at different spatio-temporal scales for contributing to create a better future through the pursuit of a true Planetary Health perspective.

I am currently based in Italy, at the University of Venice, but I am always ready to visit and collaborate with teams in other countries.

I love talking about Ecology, listening to Ecology, teaching Ecology, and discovering new things in the field… Well, this could be classified as “absorbing special interest”, I know, but I prefer to refer to it as “my kind obsession”!

Aside from Ecology, I have a deep affection for various other activities. I cherish spending quality time with my family, savoring coffee, cuddling my dog, practicing Crossfit and Yoga (for this latter task, the dog must be in another room), and taking long walks, particularly along the shore of my favorite lake.

Through this blog, I not only share fundamental concepts of Ecology but also express my thoughts on the immense influence and wonder of Nature of which we are part. I believe that adopting an ecological perspective can contribute to the creation of a better world. Additionally, I collect here lectures, handouts, mind-maps, and considerations worthy of focusing on.
